Adore the product - Hate the packaging

Hey Dolls. Tonight I'm talking about products I love but don't reach for as often as I would like because the packaging sucks. I might be  the only one that has a problem with them ...they drive me nuts. Maybe its my OCD :)

Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer
I think this is a great product but it leaks into the lid and the tube makes it hard to store cap side up. I have lean it against the side of my foundation bin.

Benefit Sun Beam
Gives a gorgeous glow but its so thick that when you wipe the excess off before you apply it doesn't go back in the bottle, just sits on top and makes a mess.

Nail Polish Bottles
This is a complaint for all polish bottles that come apart. Many of my Essie nail polishes have been doing this lately. I think its because I own so many from this brand.

Cream Eye Products
Im a big fan of Cream Shadows esp Maybelline Color Tattoos but they dry out so fast no matter how I store them. I know they can be fixed by warming them but my lazy side thinks that's a pain.

MAC MSF Powder
Great powder but I have had 2 now that the packaging have fallen apart. Ok not a big deal but it annoys me.

So by this point you may think I'm a tad bit crazy lol:)

Eve Pearl Salmon Concealer Duo

Hey Lovelies. Here is a product I was eyeing for a long time and had to grab it when I saw it was at IMATS last weekend esp with a discount and now I'm not so sure I even like it. The Eve Pearl Salmon Concealer Duo is a great color (fair/light) and seems creamy to the touch but looks very dry under my eyes. I do apply moisturizer with SPF every morning but maybe my dry winter skin is too dry right now for this product. It does cover OK on its own but under another concealer it covers my under eye circles even better. So I guess my only complaint is how dry and cakey it looks.

If any of you have this product and have any tips for me. Please comment:)
With a mix of both sides of the Concealer
No Concealer - YUCK!!
You can't see well on the picture of it applied but it does look really dry like putting a foundation powder over a full coverage foundation:(

My Christmas Wish List

Hi Lovelies, Today I was reading through a few blog posts on Christmas Wish Lists and started thinking about what I want. Now this is a little bit different because I don't have a boyfriend/husband, my kids are too little to buy their Momma anything so other then giving my Mum a short list I buy for myself at Christmas. I know that may seem strange but I always pick up a few things I really want but keep putting off.

My List
Finally getting a new Tattoo is top of my list - Ive been itching for another one for years.

A new Wildfox Jumper - I have a heart one that I adore

Light up Make-up Mirror - I asked my Mum for this for Christmas this year but if she gets me something else I'll buy for myself

Ipad Mini - I dont use my cell enough to justify buying a new better one but I want to be able to work on things/check things out while out of the house

YSL Rouge Pur Couture - I have wanted to try this product since it hit the shelves

RIMMEL GLAM'EYES Liquid Liner

Here is another post showcasing one of the products from my recent swap. If you know me you will know blacked winged liner is my everyday look and although I'm a gel liner gal I have been looking for a good liquid liner for quite some time. Thanks to Natalie I found it. This liner is so black and goes on evenly and not patchy and streaky. The brush tip is very thin and is great for making a thin line or building up a thicker one. Not sure if we have this one yet here in Canada  or I never noticed it before but its another Rimmel win for me:)
Don't mind my very unkempt brows lol

MAC Cleanse Off Oil Review:)

Hey Lovelies. I have been using Sephora Waterproof Eye Make-up Remover for a few years now and had run out recently so I decided to pick up MAC Cleanse Off Oil while at MAC after IMATS. I definitely have mixed feelings on this one.

I Like:
It easily removes my waterproof Mascara & Liner without scrubbing. Just lightly messaging over my eye lids and all my make-up is removed.

I Don't Like:
Yes it does remove my make-up but spreads it all over my face, not a big Deal since I wash my face after anyways. My biggest peeve about this product is it stings my eyes and makes my site blurry for about 20 mins after I use it. Maybe its my sensitive eyes or its the product itself.

I'm going to use up the rest of this small bottle even if its just to remove my face make-up before washing my face but I don't think I will be re-purchasing unless my opinion changes.

Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation

Canada really needs to add this foundation to our Rimmel Displays. I know I do happy reviews of foundations often on my blog but this one takes the cake. Its absolutely amazing and beats out my Nars Sheer Glow hands down, which has been a fave of mine for years.

I tried it on my very dry winter skin with no moisturizer or primer first and it didnt look dry or flakey. Had the perfect amount of medium coverage and left a beautiful glow to my skin. If you like a matte finish this may not be the best foundation for you unless you set with a powder (which I usually don't). The shade I was sent in my UK swap is the perfect shade for me..Good guess Natalie:) xx

MUA The Artiste Collection...Love it:)

Hi Dolls, if you saw my Twitter/Facebook status a few minutes ago you know I'm a tad bit frustrated right now. Taking an hours worth of swatch pictures only to realize my memory card wasn't in my new camera. Well I didn't redo all the swatches, just the ones for this post. So thankful to have received this palette in the Swap that arrived yesterday. I'm such a fan of MUA shadows thanks to Shona & Natalie and wish I could get them where I live although my wallet may not like it:)

(Sorry if the picture quality isn't the greatest. I'm still trying to find the best settings on my new camera..oh and my hands are not that tanned, have no clue why they came out looking like that lol)

Love that this palette includes a matte brown I can use in my crease and has everything you need to create a look from colors-neutral shadows, Blushes, bronzer and a highlighter:)

My UK Swap Came & Brightened my Day

Hi dolls, I was sitting at home today with my monkeys (day off school) in our pjs when I got buzzed from Canada Post saying I had a package waiting in the lobby. I had no clue what it could be since my beauty boxes don't arrive till next week. To my very happy surprise it was the UK swap I just did with Natalie over at http://natalieroseanne.blogspot.co.uk/. I wasn't expecting it till next week, definitely brightened my day:)

I love everything she sent and had trouble not playing around with it before I took these pics. Like with my other Swap post I'm not going into detail about the products here. You will be seeing product review posts and tutorials through out the next few weeks.
Thank you so much Natalie:) Everything is awesome and yes the foundation matches great:) xx
