Date Nights to the Twilight

Hey dolls, hope your having a good night. Wanted to share this awesome polish with you. One because I like shades like this that appear one colour but turned to a certain angle appear another shade and also because its from a brand I really like but never hear much about. I will have a collection post up soon talking more about this wonderful brand.

MISA - Date Nights to the Twilights
I bought this one thinking it was a shimmering dark purple but its way more then that. When I started painting my nails I realized it had very fine golden shimmers through out and when I turned my nails a certain way they took on a gorgeous royal blue. Every MISA polish I own is great and like all the others I could of almost gotten away with one coat, such a lovely formula.

17 Blemish Balm Review:)

Today's review post is the first of many to come over the next weeks. I have a lot to try and share after getting my UK swap box in the mail on Friday. I used all products from the box yesterday to do my make-up and decided to review the 17 BB cream first because I think is fantastic.

This thicker consistency BB cream covers better then many foundation I own. Wasn't drying or cakey which is wonderful for my Super dry skin - that's already transitioning into my even dryer winter skin. It did not go patchy through out the day and still looked good when I washed my face at bed time..I thought my $50+ Smashbox BB cream was great but this one passes it by a mile.

17 BB (blemish balm) All in One Magic Make-up Contains SPF 25. Claims to even out skin tone, cover imperfections and control oil and it does all the above. The box also says it enhances skins condition in just 4 weeks with ingredients to help prevent breakouts, minimise pores control oil..I will do an update in a month to let you know if it improved my skin.
No Make-up EEK!!!
Just using this BB cream
I'm going to be sad when this runs out but I will definitely love using it until that happens:)

My Beauty Swap Box Arrived:)

Hey Dolls Yesterday was a great day mainly because my beauty swap box from the lovely Shona of freshbeautyxox arrived. I was so excited it took real will power not to open it right there in the post office. I did however hide out in my kitchen to open it while I was cooking dinner:) I have been dying to try UK brands and for good reason because everything she sent is amazing. There wont be any swatches or much talk of products in this post but you will see individual reviews over the next few weeks.
Eyes - Everything has amazing pigmentation but Im in love with the MUA Heaven & Earth Palette
BB Cream and Concealer (best BB cream Ive tried..review up tmr)
Wonderful cheek products
I realized one more lipstick was hiding in the box after I took the picture
Tanning products. Wanted to try St. Tropez forever now
Face Masks (which I love to use weekly)
Look using only these products (face/eyes/lips)
I also got wonderful samples I cant wait to try and some yummy goodies Ive already started eating:)

I cant wait for the box I sent to arrive and fingers crossed she likes what I picked out too.

Septembers Most Loved:)

Hi Dolls Can't believe its the end of another month..time for this months loved beauty products. Like always I do switch up my make-up on a regular basis so these ones are just the ones I reached for most often.
Revlon Color Stay Whipped Foundation - Fantastic Foundation. Amazing coverage with a non cakey light weight look/feel. Need to get my Winter shade soon.
Rimmel Stay Matte Powder - Love this one as you can clearly see. I apply it with a pat and roll motion with a sponge. Great for controlling shine and setting my foundation/concealer.
Benefit Erase Paste - Been a fave of mine for years now and 1 container will last you just as long. This peachy concealer (light) really does cover, blends well and doesn't cake under the eyes.
Tarte Clean Slate Primer - Ive really been enjoying this cream pearlized primer this month.
Bourjois Bronzing Powder - I have been reaching for this one more then my Laguna this month. Maybe its because my little tan is gone and its more subtle or maybe its the yummy smell.
Benefit Brow-zing - This is a must since my eye brow are naturally super patchy. Bought the light one by accident but it still works great.
Revlon Cream Blush/Berry Flirtatious - Gives a gorgeous flush to the cheeks. I use a stippling brush.
Hard Candy 1000 Lashes - This white fibre primer really makes my lashes look longer when applied before mascara.
Stila Forever your Curl Mascara - This one was on my regrets list because of the tiny brush, well I gave it another chance and it curls my lashes amazingly. I use my primer, this then a waterproof mascara.

Bronzer - Blush - Liner
Pur Minerals Stippling brush - cream blush. Quo Blush brush - Powder highlights. MAC crease brush and Quo Fluffy crease brush for setting my concealer with powder
No Mascara
1 Coat of Stila Forever your Curl. Did not curl my lashes first
My non beauty faves this month include...The Voice, X Factor, Doctor Who, Torchwood. B&BW Apple scented candles. Katy Perry Purr Perfume. My Leggings, Knit Sweaters, Steve Madden boots and scarves.

China Glaze - Swanky Silk

Hi Dolls here is a NOTD showing the second nail polish I bought the other day at Trade Secrets. This was another hard chose because there was quite a few from this collection that caught my eye but I do own ones similar to some of the others so I went with this one and its beautiful.

China Glaze - Swanky Silk
A very pretty shimmering champagne shade with a rose gold duo chrome effect. Pictures do not do this one justice.

Battle of the Affordable Shadows

Hey dolls tonight I decided to do a post comparing eye shadows from very affordable brands including e.l.f, Wet & Wild, Essence and NYC. I tried to compare products with the same colour and finish. Hope you
like :)

Sorry brands are switched in picture. NYC is on the left.

e.l.f - The sparkly black was very pigmented and creamy but no sparkles were visible on the swatch. The Bronzy swatch did not have great colour pay off and the actual shadow was hard.
Wet & Wild - The Sparkly Black wasn't very pigmented, quite chalky and had a lot of sparkle fall out. The Matte was a lot better. Great colour pay and a lot smoother.
Essence - Both had wonderful pigmentation and went on smooth. The bronze shade in the bottom pictures is one of my fave shadows.
NYC - I usually like these shadows but this perticular one was very chalky and felt like if I swept it across my eye lids with a brush I wouldnt see anything.

My conclusion..The quality of eye shadows varies greatly within each brand depending on the finish so although the e.l.f and Essence ones swatched the best this time I really didnt come to a solid conclusion on which brands shadows are better as a whole.

NOTD - OPI INK!

I limited my self to only buying 2 new polishes while I was out the other day and let me tell you it isn't easy to choose just 2 if your a nail polish addict like me lol. Here is a NOTD post showing one of the ones I chose.
OPI - Ink
Such a gorgeous colour. A deep dark purple full of fine fuchsia pink shimmer. I have no idea why I never noticed this one before.

Watch out for a NOTD post showing the other polish I picked up in the next day or two:)

Clarins 3 Dot Liner Review

Hey dolls as you may have seen on my Twitter today I went out and bought a few of the Clarins 3 dot Liners, one for me and one to include in Decembers big Give-away!!. Before I get to the review let me say I was only able to get 2 because they happen to be in the wrong drawer, I was told a lady came in and bought the whole lot. OK on to the review:)
Dotted on the top lash line - No Mascara
Dotted on the top lash line - with mascara
Used as regular liner on top lash line and Dotted below lower lashes - no mascara
Used as regular liner above top lashes & Dotted under bottom lashes - with mascara
Doesn't bleed when applied to eye area by hand was being difficult

* This Liner is amazingly Pigmented.
* With serious staying power as you can see by the bottom photo  which shows the liner after I wiped it a few times with a make-up wipe (came off with waterproof eye-make-up remover easily).
* Has been on for 8 hrs now and has yet to fade of smudge.
* I found it difficult to get the dots right along the top lash line with practise it should be fine. Great to use as a regular liner.
* Dotting under the bottom lashes was easy and I love the look it gave. In real life it reminds me of doll eyes.
* $28 Canadian

Let me say I give this an A+ I'm totally smitten with this Liner
