1. Revlon Lip Butters - I own so many but use them so rarely. The lighter shades are patchy and the berry/reds bleed on me like crazy.
2. MAC Boyfriend Stealer Lipstick - You all know I love my MAC lipsticks but this one is strange. When applied the color only shows on the outside of my lips like I drew on purple lip liner.
3. NYX Eyeshadow Base - Great for making eye lids look even but a few hours later my lids are super creased (my lids are oily though).
4. Revlon Nearly Naked Powder - I know many love this powder, for me no matter what brush I use it makes my foundation look caked on. Alone it looks too powdery.
5. Benefit dr. feelgood - I thought this balm would make a smooth base for my foundation but whether worn on top or under make-up it doesn't work out. Make-up balls up when using this product.
6. Smashbox Primer - My skin has break outs when I use it. enough said!!
7. Eve Pearl Dual Salmon Concealer - Not saying this is a bad product I just cant get it to blend out right whether Im using a brush or my fingers.
8. Maybelline Dream Bouncy Blush - I actually liked these blushes when I first bought them but after using other cream blushes I find these ones dont have the best color pay off.
9. Maybelline Master duo Eye Liner - No matter how much I shake this liner it comes out watery, patchy and almost colorless. Maybe the black is better.
10. Sonia Kashuk Brow Kit - I love the fact this set has a shade that works well for brunettes, blondes and reds but the formula doesn't work. They are cream products that don't show well and feel almost greasy when applied.
Ohh I definitely have a lot of these products but don't regret them haha the more I can add the better hehe I totally agree about the color payoff on many of these, wish the quality was better. is the bouncy blush rose petal, that's the one i own!
ReplyDeleteThere are two of the items that you regret buying that I adore. The first are the Revlon Lip Butters - I cannot get enough of these! I find them so easy to wear, and I am all about easy to wear makeup. The second is the Maybelline Bouncy Blush. I only recently bought one, and oh my goodness. I adore it. I've worn it every day since.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing
ReplyDeleteI am loving your '10' posts, I totally agree with the dream bouncy blushes and the master studio liner...so watery!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for this post, really helpful since I was in doubt in buying Eve Pearl's concealer!
ReplyDeleteI heard the same from other bloggers about Mac Boyfriend Stealer, such a pity!

I love Dr Feelgood xx

Shame about the MAC lipstick, that's really weird. I have one of the Maybelline Dream Bouncy blushes and think I mostly like it for the novelty of a "squishy" blusher as you do have to apply a lot to get a good colour payoff! Great post :)

I could not agree with you more on the Nearly Naked powder. I'm still undecided about my Eve Pearl.
ReplyDeleteI personally really like the Revlon lip butters! Especially in Creme Brulée but it is true the darker colour do bleed a bit and they smudge so easily

I purchased all the bouncy blushes and had to return them

Oh darn I hate to heat that about the Sonia Kashuk brow palette cause I was looking at getting it but not it it goes on greasy! thanks for the info.! :)
ReplyDeleteI always think about buying lip butters they're such a huge hit in blog world but every time I swatch them I am a little underwhelmed so haven't given in to the hype yet. Posts like this make me glad that I go with my instincts! xo
ReplyDeleteHi, would you like to follow each other on bloglovin?

SOSOSO glad you did this post! I was just about to splurge on the Smashbox primer, but since I have such oily temperamental skin, it would probably turn me into a pepperoni pizza. :) thanks!
